Roller coater for design printing and light coatings on bovine hides

JUMBOUNIVERSAL, with a working width of 3400 mm, is a roller coating machine for finishing upholstery hides, automotive, cars and clothing.


With a working speed that can reach 20 m/min, it is possible to create two-tone (tipping) and design effects, to apply hot and cold fat liquoring with oils and waxes, paraffin waxes on splits, buffed leather and full grain leather.

The rigid structure guaranteea:
  • an optimal functioning without any vibration,
  • a constant and uniform pressure on the whole engraved roller,
  • the use of only one doctor blade for any kind of finishing or of engraved roller,
  • low maintenance and consumption of spare parts limited to the wear and tear parts.

The absence of a chain in the drive of the engraved and counter roller and of the feeding belts characterizes the JUMBOUNIVERSAL to eliminate any slack and to achieve a smooth and precise motion of all the machine's mechanical parts.

The kinematic motion of all units is achieved by a few mechanical parts of high rigidity and great accuracy which guarantees rapid and simple operation.

The rubber transport roller is indipendent of the feeding and spreading belts. This technical solution compensates for high variation in the leather thickness, allows a quick grinding of the rubber roller, prevents the chemical product to be in contact with the rubber roller and ensures high precision in the working thickness.

All the controls are placed on one control panel. On the display of the control panel, it is visualized the working speed and it is possible to set all adjustments of the machine through a proper menu. Finally, to mininize the risk of dust contamintaion Gemata developed a manual system for cleaning dust on the Spreader's mooth upper belt.

Optionals:
  •  Patented heating system that heats the doctor blade and the engraved roller at the same time and constant temperature to avoid any deformation of doctor blade caused by a doctor blade and engraved roller different thermic expansion. This high-efficiency system allows it to reach the temperature of 100°C very quickly and uses very little recycling oil thus reducing the waste of energy. A special patented device automatically connects and disconnects the heating joint of the engraved roller with no need for the operator thus avoiding any burning danger.
  • Stainless steel tank with a capacity of 100 lt for pre-heating of waxes equipped with a thermostat for temperature control.
  • Rollers storage system installed over the machine to store up to 6 rollers in addition to the 3 ones already fitted onto the rollers bridge. This system allows a very quick change of the working roller.
  • Efficient suction hood that can be connected both to the centralized extraction system of the tannery or to an indipendent low-noise exhauster.
  • Leather detaching device to detach and automatically convey the leather to the drying tunnel. This device allows it to reach a working speed of 20 m/min.
  • Color mixing device to be installed directly onto the doctor blade holder. It consists of a shaftless pneumatic cylinder to mix alternatively foamed or very dense products.
  • Stainless steel rubberized cylinder washing tank with automatic exclusion of the washing brush and drying blade.
